Okay. I didn’t particularly enjoy math class, but I did learn enough to understand that throwing sigma, cosine, pi, a few variable exponents, and ordinary variables together does not result in the formula for genetic manipulation. In fact, it won’t even result in anything. You need numbers. The only number on that board other than 1 is 2x, which only tells us to multiply whatever x is by 2. So 2x+1 can be solved as x+1/2, but really that doesn’t get us anywhere, because it has to be equal to a number in order to be solved. Add in that you have to multiply your x+1/2 equation with what looks like sigma wearing a hat while hopping on a pogo stick, and you’re going to be in for a very frustrating and long experience that will ultimately result in failure. Heyyy, kind of like what Suresh is going through!
In short, what I am trying to say is that Suresh’s problem may be caused not only by his complete confusion in mathematics, but his confusion in what field he is working in altogether.
